Snow days

This week we experienced a snowstorm. The Seattle area accumulated about 8 inches of snow, to my dismay and Sean's delight. Here are some of the things we did while the snow was here:

Sean and the first of many snowmen he built in our back yard:

We are about to go sledding and since I am a notorious wimp when it comes to snow and cold, we are all bundled up like we are going on a trek through the North Pole.

Starting down the hill:

Slowly but surely:

They made it down the hill!

Sean working hard on a snowman:

The next day, mommy was spoiled and stayed in the warm house while Dad took the kids out to play in the snow. They all look very happy to be outside, except for the snowman.

The aftermath of the ice and snow storms. Poor trees. It was worth it for the amount of fun the kids had though.

Museum of Flight

During Bryant's Christmas vacation time, we took the kids to the Museum of Flight. They both had a lot of fun.

My little gymnast at the Little Gym

I have been attending weekly "mommy and me" gymnastic classes at the Little Gym with Cami for a while now. Unfortunately they had to close the location that we had been attending at. Cami loved every minute of those classes and they will be missed. At least we have cute pictures to remember them by!

The balance beam is probably Cami's favorite thing to work on:

Someone is slightly proud of having made it to the top of the climbing wall all by herself:

She's about to flip over the bar and do a triple backflip onto the mat:

Every day at the end of class, they get the bubble machine out for a few minutes. And every time Cami and I have a conversation like this: "Cami going to eat the bubbles!" "No Cami. Bubbles are not food!" "Cami's going to eat the bubbles! Cami likes bubbles!" She rarely succeeds at getting them into her mouth, but when she does, it does not seem to deter her one bit from trying to eat them. Apparently bubbles are tasty. Who knew?

We are sad to be done with the Little Gym, but I have us signed up for a Mommy and Me art class next. I love having a little buddy to keep me company during the day!

We Wish You A Merry Christmas...

Or, as Cami would say it: "We Wish You A Merry Mismas!"

The presents before the kids got at them:

Since Christmas was on Sunday this year we went to church first before any presents were opened. Church was at 9 AM and we are not especially early risers. The kids handled this extremely well.

Utah trip part 2: the Fletchers

After going to Kellan and Tessa's wedding and the associated festivities, we went to American Fork to visit the Fletchers. We even got to stay there for Thanksgiving. It's been quite a few years since I have had Thanksgiving dinner with my family and I really enjoyed it.

Cami being a good little mommy to Amy's dolls.

We went to the Bean museum with my family. It was fun going back there since we used to go all the time when Sean was a toddler and we were BYU students.

Sean looks a little worried next to those two bears...

Don't worry Sean, Amy will protect you (she would, too):

Amy is very strong. No bear would dare mess with her!

I have the cutest mom:

I don't have any pictures of Thanksgiving itself because I was too busy to take pictures. But we had a lot of fun, and stayed up till 4 AM (possibly an all time record for me) shopping Black Friday sales. If it weren't for the fact that we live 13 hours away, and that the drive this time of year is often icy and snowy, I would visit every year!

Utah trip part 1: The Cutlers

Well, the procrastination has finally caught up with me and I promised my sister I would update the blog. It has been quite some time since I have done that so I'm starting with our trip to Utah for Kellan and Tessa's wedding.

Sean reading with Grandma:

Sean and Aunt Karina. These two had a lot of fun together. There was a lot of silly faces, giggling, and a rock climbing trip during which Sean performed admirably for a six year old.

The kids enjoyed the wedding dinner:
